About the Campout

Father & Son Campout

An overnight outdoor gathering for fathers and sons across the Chesapeake Stake, hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

What this app is

Stake Camps is the official registration portal for the Chesapeake Stake Father & Son Campout — an annual overnight event held at Stringwood Farms in Carrsville, Virginia. This website lets fathers and sons from congregations across the stake sign up online, review event details, manage an existing registration, and keep a confirmation code handy for updates or cancellations. Families enter their contact information, list the sons who will attend, note any dietary or accessibility needs, and receive a confirmation by email. Organizers use a secure admin dashboard to view the full roster, track attendance totals by ward, and export registrations for planning.

Who it is for

This app is designed for fathers and sons throughout the Chesapeake Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The campout is open to fathers and their sons of all ages — from young children to young men — giving families a night outdoors together to build memories, strengthen relationships, and enjoy God's creation. Ward congregations from Albemarle, Currituck, Elizabeth City, Franklin, Grassfield, Great Bridge, Hickory, Nags Head, Smithfield, and Western Bridge are all invited. Event organizers and ward Young Men leadership also use the admin dashboard to coordinate attendance, manage the roster, and communicate with families.

Who builds it

Stake Camps is built and maintained by the Chesapeake Stake activity committee and local ward volunteers, with technical support from the stake technology team. The platform is hosted on Base44, a backend-as-a-service for building web applications. Registration information is collected only for planning and administration of the campout and is available only to authorized event organizers. If you have questions about your registration, please contact your ward Young Men leadership or use the contact information provided on our Contact page.
